This is one of those amplifiers that you can use for many years and enjoy the highest quality. This is a classic model with its own merits. First of all, it's compact and versatile, you can connect any preamplifier to it and get a compact but high-grade hi-fi system for the work area with amazing sound quality. Fantastic product. I strongly advise.

unbelievable bargain.

I bought this power amp to primarily act as a spare. Its size makes it ideal to stash away when not being used.Of course,I had to try it out in my system (Audio Research LS25MK2 preamp,CD3 MkII,and Sonus Faber Amator II speakers),and was surprised to find it sounded much better than I thought it would.Considering it was being substituted for an Audio Research VT50 power amp,the difference in quality was a lot less than the £2000+ difference in price. You can of course hear a difference, the treble being a little edgier, and the bass not as deep and full-bodied as the ARC,but it acquitted itself very well overall. The only thing I did not like was the very small size of the rear gain controls, and the slightly too close together phono inputs, but then this is meant to be a compact amp suitable for "zone amping",presumably in a boat or at a conference. Parasound are now distributed in the UK by Invision of Bury St.Edmonds,Suffolk,so there is backup if you need it. To sum up,if you are looking for a small power amp, with a good output (45w into 8ohms/60w into 4ohms),and do not expect to get the very best in audio quality, this little amp would be well worth an audition.Read full review
