Really good razor, however, a safety razor does take some getting used to. You can't get away with long sweeps of the razor as per multiple blade types. Short, light, controlled sweeps are required to avoid razor burn and hacking off lumps of your face!

Just what I needed! the weight is heavy (I have very strong whiskers), the comb is ideal, the size is excellent for my sausage hands and it is very easy to use! When I clean it, it's like a decorative item! Shiny and everything! Best part about this razor? It's price! Keep up the Good work!

I've never thought of buying a Parker before, instead opting to by many Merkur, Muhle, Edwin Jagger and old Gillettes of many models. However, I thought I'd give the 24C a look just in case I'd got it all wrong. Well, I had! The 24C is a nice razor. The knurling is very grippy and will definitely not slip. The chrome finish to the razor handle and head is good enough and on par with most razors I own, with only the Muhle and Edwin Jagger shading the contest. It gives a very close shave and is slightly less aggressive than the Muhle R41. One word of warning, let the weight of the razor alone do the cutting without adding pressure, else you'll feel the burn for most of the morning. The razor gives good feedback and you can hear it cutting the bristles, pretty much like you do when using a cutthroat. I'm currently using the 24C as my daily razor, relegating the Merkur Progress to the shelf, for now anyway. Would I recommend the Parker 24c... Yes I would.Read full review

I bought this open comb razor as I'd read it was a moderate to high aggressive razor but I'd have to disagree. I'd describe it as gentle to moderate. Paired with a feather it does an ok job of hacking through a 4 day growth but even after 3 passes it wasn't a BBS, had to go over a few areas several times. Blade exposure is minimal. Top marks for the handle, excellent grip and balance. A good introduction to open comb razors but if you're looking for an aggressive safety razor this is not it, you'd be better with a muhle r41.
