This was Paul McCartney's first solo project, and actually the first of any Beatles solo projects after their break-up in 1970. All the instruments are played by Paul, with some backing vocals contributed by Linda. While there are definitely some "filler" songs, as a whole, this is a beautiful album, full of catchy acoustic numbers. What really sells me on this one is the second-to-last track, Paul's best song ever, "Maybe I'm Amazed." He achieved much more success with Wings later on in the '70s, but in my opinion, he was better off with this layed-back approach, a lot of material sounding like unused tracks from The Beatles' "White Album" (in fact, a few of these songs were just that). Some other highlights on this album include "Junk" and "Teddy Boy".Read full review
Another one from the Paul McCartney collection 1993. Just played this last night and it sounds so good. Paul plays all instruments and it's just an excellent album.
