something to expand your listening expierience .
heard the opening track many years ago on the radio and wrote it down and attached to my memory board in my studio . it was only when I was a car boot this year that I found one of their c.d's for a mere 50p and loved it so I tracked down this on e.bay and got it straight away . for the first time listener it is unusual but it grows on you and you can't live without it . if you get a chance get a copy as they are getting hard to find now as the original member has sadly passed away . I bought this cd after hearing a track on a friends i-pod. The first track, "Music for a found harmonium", is a simple rhymic motif that grows and reminds you of folk-music. It is quite hypnotic in its beat. I thought it very original. The rest of the cd is a broad mix of musical styles,some almost classical, whilst others easy listening etc. If you want a cd to play in the background or enjoy while having a coffee, this is the one. It still makes me smile when I hear track one. And what a great name for a group....Penguin Cafe Orchestra.I bought this cd after hearing a track on a friends i-pod.
