This compression tester is a bit complicated to use. Consumers must first read the instructions, which are in very small print, then assemble the tester to suit the appropriate spark plug size. In operation, the compression tester can be tightened into the spark plug hole using an open end spanner. Compression readings are consistent when used in accordance to recommendations. eg. All spark plugs removed, full throttle open, rotate engine for about 6 seconds.

Bought at a cheap price and you can tell its manufactured poorly!! As soon as I used it to perform a compression test one of the valves in the dial gauge failed and so now it doesn't record on the dial what compression my vehicle is at. Absolutely rubbish bit of kit, waste of money. Now I must add that this could just be a one off failure on the manufacturers behalf!?This reveiw does not reflect my opinion of the seller - he/she did everything on their part to ensure a good service, just a shame that the product they have supplied me doesn't work as described.

Good: Did the job, easy to use providing you have some mechanical knowledge. Comes with some adapters to suit most engine configurations. Bad: No proper instructions.
