I love the interface, with fast scrolling touchscreen and responsive controls. Although these are older models and Philips claim that they only work with XP, I've had no problems using them within Vista. The sound quality when used with decent earphones or when connected to a hi-fi is fantastic... I dislike having to Synch with Media Player as it's not my favorite software, but it's bareable ;-) The only drawback is photo viewing or watching videoclips, the screens far too small and these functions are pointless really, it would have been better if Philips had given European buyers the FM radio that US customers were provided with. However, I buy these units to listen to music and for that, these amazing units cannot be faulted. People that have reported issues have oftentimes formatted the internal Hard Disk, thereby deleting the software, firmware needed to run the unit!Read full review
I love music, and having had a 2gb Philips gogear, knew the product fairly well. It is a lovely machine, and very easy to handle, however transfering music on to it does take practise, as it is not drag and drop like others in this range. However I found the Philips customer service to be more than helpful, so personally I would recommend this range of MP3 player to anyone.
