About 2 years ago, I bought 6 of these to ensure I had a phone all round a 4 storey house. Despite the very high price, I was swayed by the veru good reviews, especially the sound quality as I am slightly deaf. They worked fine for about a year but the rechargable batteries ran out quickly. Replacing with higher capacity batteries had no effect. Then a phone would not connect to base - and then another. Philips stated phone was now 'not made' and not supported by them. Not interested in fault. Suggested I found an independant repairer. I bought a couple more on Ebay but they gave up the ghost soon. Any company that disowns it's own 'prestigious' product goes off my radar. No more Philips for me!
Poor sound quality. How this phone won an award I have no idea. Too much style over substance. Look of things you can use it for but its basic function of being a phone is poor. Answer phone shows no sign of message without picking up handset and checking screen. User manual is generic and instructions do not always relate to this model.
Very good sound, easy set up, very reliable, stylish, love it. I have it for few years and I think it was worth every penny.
The item is neat and compact, very smart looking. It was a competitive price and the product had never been used.
