The Philips Pocket Memo is very easy to use. Some of the more expensive versions have extra features, but depending on how you use the machine, you're probably not going to use alot of them. This machine fits nicely into the handle and is easy to control by means of a sliding button which plays (records -if the record button is also down on the other side), rewinds and fast forwards. The benefit i have found of using this type of machine than digital ones is the knowing exactlty where you are and the easy rewinding so you can record over a section if you decide to re-word. Also for the purpose of typing, passing the tapes over to a touch typist is much to their preference. If you send digital files to them then these have to be played by using the mouse, rather than the foot controls. This is the last thing a touch typist wants, as they need to have both hands available at all times on the keyboard (not the mouse). All in all a very good product.Read full review
