LoL...If I have to explain, you won't understand... but I'll try. It's Pokemon Red, what more do I need to say? I took a year out at 30 and traveled the world playing this on my GBC back in 2000. I was glad that I took my Game Boy with me as it helped wile away the long hours spent in Airports, Ports, Bus terminals and many more otherwise boring foreign transits. You can switch on and play for a quick fix to pass the time, or, on the other hand you switch on and submerge yourself for hours leveling up or trying to catch that elusive Abra. Retro, hell yeah. I moved recently and while packing, I uncovered my old GBC in a box in the loft. In went some batteries but my original Red wouldn't work so I purchased another cart'. The simple compelling game play is what bought me back after an 18yr absence. There's no fancy graphics or kicking soundtrack, just simple tonal music and a turn base battle system that for me is timeless. I would happily recommend this to friends, and like me,I would also recommend that they get Yellow and Blue too.Read full review
