I have two of these. We use them on our motorcycle helmets (one facing forward and pillion camera facing back!).. Brilliant quality video. Simple to use even while wearing thick motorcycle gloves. No need to power on - just slide the switch on the top and it starts recording. Much better than my previous Contour HD camera. And it is waterproof (no need for a stupid looking waterproof plastic cover like those expensive rip-off cameras we hear so much about!!). Aerodynamic shape too compared to some of the competition. The only drawbacks are the internal battery (cannot be replaced so I presume the camera is done for when the battery dies) and also the lack of a facility to add an external speaker/microphone (like most other cameras, it only has an internal microphone).

I bought this product a few months before my brother’s birthday and gave it to him in mid-July 2013. The camera is incredibly good and comes with lots of handy, fun features as well as attachments, so no complaints as far as the actual product is concerned. However, one of the main parts snapped after just 3 days (the mount-lock which connects the camera to any of the attachments) and I had to decide whether to order a new part or whether to send it back for replacement. I decided to send it back for a replacement, and I’ll warn you now – NEVER RETURN AN ITEM TO POLAROID’S UK AGENT (C&A MARKETING UK). I sent the camera kit back using TNT to make sure it got there safely and it was delivered to their UK warehouse in North London on 26th July. 10 days later I have had no correspondence from C&A Marketing whatsoever – the 0208 number they provided goes straight through to the American office which is 5 hours behind so there’s never any reply before 3pm BST. I’ve had to continually chase them up to find out what’s going on and why I haven’t had a replacement yet (they told me it would be sent straight out as soon as they received the defunct one so in theory I should have had the replacement on Monday 29th July. For a modern company this is appalling; I am so frustrated but I can’t do anything! Most of the staff at C&A Marketing are rude and don’t seem to care (when they bother to answer the phone that is). The lady who is dealing with this return (Elsa) has seemed very polite and helpful though, but this still hasn’t resulted in the return of my camera! So you’re welcome to buy this camera but if I were you I’d seriously consider buying from a company who cares – I work in a Customer Service role myself and I have a passionate hatred of companies who don’t care about customers – in this day and age when everyone (in the UK at least) is fighting to provide the best experience for their customers, why should the companies who don’t care get the business?!Read full review
