I bought this to replace the same model which had developed a fault. A design classic and future collectable? I like the fact that the radio alarm has two seperate alarms which can be set for different times on weekdays and weekends, so no fiddling around with setting and resetting. SD card feature is useful for some but I've never used it as I mainly use as a clock / radio. Only critisism is the on / off switch. It involves pushing the centre button in which is also used for volume and channel change and it takes a bit of a knack to achieve on / off rather than changing the volume or channel!
I still own the original version which I bought back in 2003 and I still love it - nothing that an iPod, iPhone or Amazon Alexa has been able to render obsolete . So I decide to get this 2nd version also to sit in the bedroom and keep the original one in the kitchen.

Strange design but it works! Fast scanning and easy operation. Pretty good sound output. Also works with a SD card to allow playback of MP3 tracks - I used a Sandisk 2Gb FAT16. Records to SD card Great vaue at £39!! A remote would have been great. Excellent support from Pure
It's a radio, it plays radio stations It's also an alarm clock and it gets me up anytime I set it too Does what it is supposed to do
