Have not heard this album in a long time... Had it on vinyl back in the 70's-80's... As an album it holds good memories for me. 1975, I'd just left school and was in my first job in the big city (Glasgow).. This came out and all the old ones (late 20's)in the office, rushed out and bought it on the day of release... That impressed me. When I had my own copy it was never my favourite Stones album, Now many years later it's still the same... Still not my favourite, but it is a classic album... Apart from the obvious 'Fool To Cry' - it's not filled with classics, but it's definately an album made up of the sum of all the parts... It feels like an album.. It's also Ronnie Wood's first Stones outing... It certainly ticks most of the right boxes... Even the cover artwork looks good to me now... (must be nostalgia)... Would recommend this album, but be warned it's not the hit singles style Stones here... Mpre the album variety.++++++++Read full review
i am collecting all the cds i had on vinyl ,i saw the stones at sheffield in the pouring rain all the press reports knocked them on this tour they were excellent .this cd shows a different side to the stones i love it.watch the rio gig on the biggest bang tour and tell me the stones have had it.best rock band ever
I had the lp already, since the time it was firstly published. To be able to listen to it in the car and at the country is the reason way I bought the cd. It is an excellent record, bluesy and inspired, very cool, relaxing and enjoyable, with some funky performance, like Hey Negrita. Recommended, if you like the band, off course.
