Hard to review this model because I'm not sure if it is still a current model It shaves pretty close but even though the makers years ago used to say via Victor Kiam "Shaves you close as a blade or your money back" it's not really that close - but they could get away with pretending it did back then! I have an old Mains non rechargeable razor that was new in 1970 by a well known make - it is a foil shaver but it cuts closer than any of my Remingtons probably because the foil was much more accurately machined back then. They don't make em' like that any more. Anyhow this model is handy - the charge lasts about two weeks of daily use which I think is pretty amazing. It's best to leave it on charge for 12 hours each time so overnight is fine. The heads are easy to brush clean and it can be run under the tap to clean but best to leave the foil and cutters open to dry naturally - and not force water directly down the vibrating drive column as this would be asking for trouble. All in all, a good shaver I recommend it.Read full review

This is a great shaver, its light to use, powerful, fast, shaves really close too. The shaver is no noisier than shavers of similar quality. I normally buy another leading brand, and they are good but this Remington shaver is better I'm glad I took a chance on changing to this model of Remington shaver. Being objective and honest I wish it didn't have a 16 hr recharge but that is for sure the only drawback of this shaver. Good price too I can recommend it and I rarely write a review,

This seems the best bet for an inexpensive shaver but you will need a spare, as it takes 16 hours to charge and you cannot shave while charging. However the charge will last for two weeks. The foils last about 18 months to two years with care but are so expensive that you can buy another shaver from some sellers for little more, if you dont mind a damaged box. The trimmer works well but is very fragile, which can also terminate the life of the shaver. Treat this shaver as a disposable shaver. I am on my fourth one but still think they are best value for money and give a reasonable shave and are also compact for travelling but need packing well.

6th time I've bought this model from eBay members, but this is the best one. More robust and good for 7/8 charges depending on beard toughness. Great shave, better than more up market European models!

My first 3805 is an excellent shave. So I have bought a second 3805 while stocks last. At £15 it is cheaper than buying a new foil and blade for my Braun, a hideously expensive shaver. Now I hav a spare shave for the next 15 years.
