Original Porsche plastic casing of the 2-button ignition / door key had become badly cracked and was held together with electrician's tape. Replacing the key with a new item is expensive, so this new casing is a great solution. You take the innards & key blade from your old key and put them into the new case. The old case hss to be heated to remove 2 small solid parts (transponder & crest) because they are glued in. This means in effect you have to destroy the old case, not difficult because of all the cracks. Youtube provides step-by-step guidance. New case has rejuvenated the key: it looks good and works just as well as my undamaged original spare key.

Both of my 997 OEM fobs lost the door unlock button. One was missing and the other I tried to fix with superglue (bad mistake). With these replacement cases, I was able use the OEM case back and transmitter and pop on the replacement front shell. Presto! Two working keys and no trip to the dealer for programming with a lot more change left in my pocket. Great product. Shipped from UK but took less than a week to arrive.
