The scale is too small and some of the parts have to be put under a magnifying glass. The model is identical to the Airfix product. I have had to replace the plastic masts and yard arms with wooden ones as they are too thin and not authentic. The bowsprit is also too flimsy to take the rigging and has been replaced by a home made wooden type. Only the hull and one or two deck fittings such as the windlass have been used from the kit. The finished work should look OK but I would have preferred a larger scale model.

I have already assembled and rigged my HMS Bounty plastic model after painting all the parts before assembly. I even used the rigging blocks in the running rigging. There were some intricate places in the paint job, especially in the stern. I took my time with the model but really enjoyed working on it. I tried to make the model look as authentic as possible.
