As with most sports blooper dvds they are hit and miss, unfortunately falling mostly into the miss category this is no exception. Ricky Tomlinson is his usual self, which i cant fault, and his interludes and comic asides are amusing, but most of these clips have been seen many times before. There are some great unseen (by me at least) clips from the lesser footballing nations who really dont seem to have the hang of the game yet, but on the whole, its too short and what little content it does show is mostly repeats. If you want a decent football bloopers dvd, try Nick Hankocks football nightmares, or Big Rons mad managers.
I think this DVD would be better if Ricky Tomlinson didnt act so stupid during it. HIs jokes arent funny and its mainly just watching a scruffy old man sit in a chair and talk rubbish. Footage of goals, saves and gaffs are good but ruined by him.
Tomlinson can be a bit trying at times, but this is a good DVD despite his narration. Some classic clips from the past mixed well with today's games. A nice balance between the history of football and modern times. The referee part is a classic! Not a classic overall though, but definately worth watching.
