Draughty...
I have never done anything close to dying stuff, but I read somewhere that fabric dyes make jolly good wood dyes as well. This RIT dye is superb. I cut some large sized draught game pieces from pine dowel. Sanded them up, mixed the dye and dropped the pieces into the mix as it were. I left them for some good while and then removed them. Let them dry naturally outside, clear coat sealer from a craft shop sprayed on, and job done. I did Dark Green, and Scarlet, excellent results together. I probably could have bought some ready made, but mine are unique, handmade by myself, and I am quite proud of my achievement. Good Stuff
I use lots of fabric dye for colouring nylon cord and I have found this to be the best certainly since Dylon's demise . Dylon have really gone downhill and Drummers don't exist any more. the colours are dense and also the range is vast I have come back to this product many times and will continue to do so

Difficult to make colourfast
Not a one step dye. Needs a separate fixing stage. I used vinegar and salt to fix dye and fabric still must be washed separately. Have reverted to using Dylon which is both easier and colour does not run.
