I bought this small boompole as a second, lighter pole for when the larger Rode Boompole is just a little too big - mainly for pointing a short shotgun at the interviewer in a two person setup. At first I thought the twist mechanism was a little loose, but once I extended the pole fully, the lock engages properly and it does the job. I don't tend to manually boom with this pole, but it's perfect for fixing to a light stand and getting the mic where I need it to be. Overall a great value purchase that does the job well.

Have been using two of these for a few weeks now and they have proved very suitable for a roving mic in an audience setting. The twist to lock seems to be the only weakness but only if you have ham-fisted users. In every other respect they are great for the price.
