I first discovered this artist on a episode of CSI New York. The song Holding On and Letting Go was playing at the end of the show which I actually started recording so I could listen to it again. I then went on Google and found out who the artist was and decided to buy one of his cd's which I thoroughly enjoy. Ross has an excellent voice and his music is very relaxing and layed back and enjoyable to listen to.
This is an album I meant to buy when it came out and forgot. Saw on ebay and thought I'd go for it. As my tastes in music vary so widely it surprised how much I enjoyed an album that is always going to be classified as pop music. Great just to chill out to. My recommended tracks would be guilty pleasure, as I choke, lucky day, getaway and shout as my favourites. Definately one to recommend even for the cynical pop listeners like me! If you were to compare him to anyone I would say he is a bit like Gavin DeGraw who is pretty good to.
This is Ross Copperman's debut album and for an up and coming artist, this album is brilliant - reminds me of Maroon 5's music. Most people will know him for his song All She Wrote, which entered the top 40 in May 2007. His songwriting and music is so meaningful, which is why I like the album. This album, I feel, you could never get bored of - even my partner enjoyed listening to it. Definately, a chill out album with a bit of a beat - and I am a girl who likes Zero 7 to chill out to!
I love every song on this album, they seem to get better with every listen. Standout tracks include; All She Wrote, Guilty Pleasure, Can't Stop Loving You, Lucky Day, Get Away, Shout. I know thats nearly the whole album! The choruses are so infectious and well written they make me wanna 'Shout'! Overall the album combines shout out rock songs with gentle ballads, another highlight being the album closer; 'They'll Never Know'. I'll be playing this album in months even years to come.!
Boght this CD as a present for my boyfriend as he has seen it in Woolworths and then when he decided to buy it, it was gone. When it turned up i decided to have a quick listen and I thought it was brilliant! Yes i ended up keeping it for myself and made him a copy!
