I've been using these since Rotosound introduced them 30-odd years ago, because: they sound good on all my acoustic guitars; keep their tone for months if you clean them after gigs & rehearsals; don't break too often; they're UK made and not stupidly expensive! Every so often I do try a different brand just in case I'm missing out, but so far nothing else has matched all the above criteria, ie tone, durability and price. I also use their nickel and steel sets on all the electrics for the same reasons. Buy 'em.

Frustrated by the increasing prices of American made strings I thought I'd try these. Eminently usable, but initially they seem to be less polished than equivalent D'addarios, however the harshness feel wears off quickly. If I were Rotosound I'd create a wider range of PB strings - remarket these strings with a less naff name and extend their offerings to mandolins, Dobros, Nationals etc. Having hermetically sealed packs IS important - and Roto do that better than D'addario.

Good name, good value. Just a thought from someone who has been strumming since 1963, a set of strings would be better if they could include a spare top E, or all E, B and G, at an additional cost.

Good service and great if you only need one string rather than a full set.
