Bought as a handy place for my iTunes library. The device can be a little annoying to configure as you have to set dip switches for the number of drives you wish to use. Setting the RAID type is reasonably easy. Had some issues with disks that already had partitions on them, so had to erase them outside of this enclosure before the system would initialise them. Performance is OK on Firewire 800 and on USB2. ESATA is very fast but I did have some timeouts when using ESATA, but that could have been the host machine. Compared to other RAID enclosures this seems about average on looks and usability, the multiple interface options really help and it's reasonably quiet (although the fan can rattle a bit at times).
