I bought this book as it seems to be a must-read for the Triumph motorcycle enthusiast and I wanted to present it to a friend. I was not dissapointed ! The detail is amazing and unrivalled; the photographs are nearly previously unpublished with many from personal collections. The quality of the paper and binding and overall presentation is first class. There is nothing to dislike about this book whatsoever. It is unique being the only first-hand account of the famous Meriden Triumph motorcycle workers' co-operative and is 'straight from the top', from the chairman, himself. This is the definitive history of the legendary Triumph factory's last decade and a must-have not just for Triumph fans and motorcyclists but for students of 20th century British social, political, industrial and economic history. To that end, I learnt even the House of Commons has a copy !Read full review
Great detailed history

What promised to be a compelling read fell a little short in my opinion, because I got bogged down with to many "he said she said" type facts and dates. To be fair these were probably essential to complete the story, and many of the major events and pictures were worth the cover price of the book. All in all a usefull reference book for the shelf.
Very interesting book, full of politics, perhaps too much, but interesting if you lived through it and are into the history of Triumph bikes in that period. Lots of good pictures.
great book
