I recomend this book & it is good value for money. The content is more agravating than compelling. It feels more like a list of everything that was wrong with the British motorcycle industry, than a celibration. We read all the usual stuf about briliant excentrics who are unable to see the wood for the trees. In this instance the inventor drives himself & Scotts in an ever tightening spirol leading to a sucsession of restructuring's of the company to make repeatedly the same mistakes. So all that we are left with is a company bound to fail with a competition history to match. At no point did we find a board of directors & an enginering stratergy capable of sucseeding. The book fails as well because it concentrates on the wrong thing. The riding & maintaining of the bikes. I am afraid the rest is typical British motorcycling manufacture historty. I want to nread about the joy & quirks of riding & maintaining Scotts.Read full review
