Outstanding collection of some of Scott's more accessible songs throughout his 'middle period'. I have bought this CD as gifts for family members as I feel everyone will benefit from having this disc to hand for whenever the moment may grab them? Without a doubt, the most wonderful voice of his generation which still makes the hair stand on end when you least expected it. Thank you Scott for sharing your life with us.

Just can’t listen enough to the great Scott Walkers voice.

I initially bought the above cd because I was led to believe that the sleeve notes were written by Marc Almond. When the item had arrived, there was no comtext written by Marc Almond - but Neil Hannon from the Divine Comedy instead. Nevertheless, I like the album very much and of course Scott Walker's lyrics are so stunning, oozing from the soul in melancholic tone. Basically, Scott Walker is very in touch with his emotions, feelings and atmospheres and this is noticed in striking force. I would certainly recomend others to make this same purchase and could easily say that they would not be dissapointed. It is very easy to understand why Scott Walker has been one of Marc Almond's inspirations as there is a link that is easy to spot between these two as is also Jacques Brel who Marc Almond has also covered. Scott Walker has covered some Jacques Brel on this album also. Kind Regards, KryssRead full review
