This watch is everything I hoped it would be. Look what you get: a tried and tested ultra reliable in-house movement, (hacking and hand windable) nice display back so you can admire it, and a case to die for. The case is a mixture of brushed and polished steel, with the brushed sections surrounding the dial and covering the strap lugs. These are not applied sections, but sculpted into the steel of the case. The deep black dial and applied batons are beautiful, and the date is tastefully framed in steel. The sword-shaped hands, and the second hand with an open loop at its base are the final touch. The glass is sapphire, and the crown bears the Seiko "S", which looks somewhat snake-like. The oyster style bracelet is comfortable, though if you have to re-size it yourself, be aware that the link-pins have a tiny steel shim at either end which falls off when you remove the pins. They are about 1mm wide and maybe 3mm in length, so be careful to catch them when you take out a pin. If someone told me this was a Grand Seiko, I would believe them. Firms like Rolex could learn a lot in terms of case-design from this watch. I've owned two Rolex models, and this watch is more satisfying to look at than either of them. If you like mechanical watches with a classic look, buy one. You won't be disappointed.Read full review

The watch is on the smaller size and not in trend with today ''standards'' of 42+ mm. It has a high quality finish and wears very comfortable at wrist, it has very good legibility of hands and keeps great time, in my case less than 5 seconds fast/day which I think is great. The accuracy of this movement is dependable of wear time, the much time on the wrist the more accurate the watch will be. The bracelet can be adjusted very easy despite having the pin and collar system. You can wear it as a dress watch or as a sport watch. It is an all day long watch. I recommend it.

Watch is very good value for the money. The dial is a little on the small side, but then I knew that before I purchased the watch. This is the fifth JDM Seiko I have purchased with the very reliable 6R15C movement over the years. This particular watch is running at plus 8 seconds per WEEK!!!! The finish and build quality is good for this price range of watch. It's not in the same league as my Swiss watches but then this is reflected in the price. The reason I mention this is because some reviews I have read on this watch in the past, actually compare this watch with higher end Swiss watches. No, No, No!!!...A Grand Seiko and Rolex, Omega yes. The bracelet on this watch is hard to adjust to my wrist size, if I remove 1 link it's to tight and loose if I leave it on. The micro adjustment is of little help. All in all this is a good purchase for the price.Read full review

Ordered this watch after reading and watching loads of positive reviews. Its a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) so couldn't see it in the metal before ordering but haven't been disappointed, the watch itself is excellent. The metal bracelet lets it down a little and I threw it onto a Hadley Roma leather strap which I think suits it better, but that's my personal preference. Delivery and price were excellent, it arrived a full week before the earliest promised delivery date. The model is being discontinued so grab one while you can!

Beautiful watch piece, classic dial design with pleasing details you find as time goes on. Have been monitoring its time accuracy over the past 2 weeks, has kept average +7 sec/day. This watch is a strap matching wonder, works well with leather, perlon and NATO. For the price, for the Seiko history the SARB033 is well worth your money and time.
