This is a great little camera, The image quality is excellent, it comes with lots of fixing plates and adapters so you can fix it just about anywhere, the waterproofing is great and the WiFi connection is easy to set up and has an excellent range, The price of the camera means that you can have more than one and not break the bank.

This camera is a no-brand copy of the SJCAM SJ4000, which costs twice as much. It has slightly different software but overall seems pretty similar. 1080p video mode is OK quality, but it's 24 fps, NOT 30 fps as specified above or on the camera. You can tell by looking at the file properties in Windows, or by taking a video of the seconds changing on a clock and stepping through 1 frame at a time, counting the frames. Even worse, 720p "60 fps" mode is only 48 fps, and it doubles-up each frame, so it's only 24 unique frames per second, not 60. So the specifications are misleading, basically a bare-faced lie to cover up the fact it's worse than a GoPro. (Note: the "genuine" SJCAM SJ4000 also apparently does frame doubling.) Still photos are poor quality, blurry and over-sharpened, and "12 megapixel" resolution clearly just upscaled from a much lower resolution (less than 1 mpx by the look of it). Recorded sound is also very bad, even out of the waterproof case. It makes it sound like I have a speech impediment, which I don't. You get what you pay for. If £33 is all you can afford, then this is probably the best "action cam" you'll get for the price. But your phone probably takes better photos and video if you don't specifically need the robust / lightweight / waterproof properties of the action cam class - or you could get any other stills camera that also takes video, and quality will be much higher. I can imagine this fills a niche of sufficiently cheap and robust to throw around on holiday or give to a child, without worrying about it getting broken. You can go even cheaper and get the non-Wifi version, if you don't want to use it with a tablet. I might have given this a higher rating on the basis of what you are actually getting for your money, but I particularly dislike it when I am sold something on the basis of false information.Read full review

Cannot get recommended software for this camera to operate. Does not let you type in Password as given. Hve searched on line and many complaints about same. Instructions written in Chinglish and difficult to follow. AN|YCAM software (recommended) is supplied by other than the camera supplier, however camera not much use without the WIFI as advertised. Cannot really comment on camera as I cannot download software.

Not a genuine SJ. Image is poor and after 4 weeks it is just not working properly at all. Camera shuts down regularly during recording. Because it is not genuine there is no access to firmware updates that might fix the myriad issues with this camera. Thankfully it was cheap so not much harm done and I am beyond the returns period now. This is fit only for the recycling bin. Save your money.....buyer beware.

At 1st glance, the sj4000 seems a pretty good budget video recorder. But its not the case. Many apps downloaded to sync wifi but to no avail, the video quality isnt too bad, but ive had better for less money. Sd card when halfway through memory wont show clips, tried 2nd sd card with same effect. This isnt a sj4000 and shouldnt be advertised as one. Wasted my money
