After the initial start, see step 3 in First steps with SUPERCOMP® , the heap (1) will be shored up thanks to the sliding supports (3) that brake its downward movement. The sliding supports have been designed so that the pile will sliding slowly downwards (tube) or gliding down (suports in oblique position) Sliding faster: pull from the handle (4) outwards. Sliding slowly: push handle inwards.

We therefore substitute the action of a shovel with the force of gravity, while at the same time the content is being ventilated vertically and as a whole (5).

It is difficult to extract a considerable amount of compost if it is situated under a pile of 100kg. In traditional composting, in order to access the elaborated material we needed to remove the upper part. Only a minority of users introduce the material in the composter by layers (organic wastes, wood products, …) as recommended. As a consequence: putrefaction caused by lack of air in the pile, bad odours and a slow process of composting.

No more disassembling and rebuilding of the bin

It is not necessary to disassemle and rebuild again the composter twice a year as it is recommendended for conventional composting bins; SUPERCOMP always can remain at the same place - simply pour the material in the top opening and extract it through the bottom door. Composting has become simple!

Chimney effect is not produced by this system: air is absorb through the bottom and exits by the top part, thus, the bin is ventilated vertically.
Also, the compost inhabitants work better with air, and so, they will have optimum conditions to do their work without producing bad odours and at a great speed (same to what happens in the countryside, the big compost factory).

Some studies done with conventional composting systems show that the living beings inside the compost pile are lacking in oxygen even after 24h of turning over the pile. Optimal ventilation of the whole pile at it’s whole sectional area – not only edge of the pile is the reason of the great efficiency differences between the two systems.

Having the composter next to home is only possible if it is absolutely odourless. You can place it next to the house over bare soil (most common) in the garden or on a floor, making sure there is an absorbent layer under the bottom chamber.

Advantage 1:  With SUPERCOMP® the pile is supported by the sliding supports at the side panels. With an open soil, the bottom board is a simple method to prevent from sinking. Without the bottom board, please make sure to underlay with bricks or similar items in order to avvoid sinking. 

Advantage 2: The polished bottom board allows to remove easily the compost at the bottom chamber (i.e. with a shovel).
