I have a Samsung phone and wanted to use the gear health app which ties me to having a Samsung smart watch. It is big which I have got used to but the fastener can catch I your wrist and make it sore. Down to the apps, reduce the amount of apps it will give you notifications for as too many killed the battery, I had the daily mail and a couple of other and by reducing them the battery now last 3 days not 2. The notification are OK, I'd like to be able to reply to fb messanger or texts but you can set up templates that you can send and you can use samsung voice to send texts, I haven't found a way to make it read the texts I get and don't think l you can. The Neo version is just as good as the other unless you want to take pictures and let's face it, we have our phones for that. The most annoying app is the sleep one, this was what u most wanted it for as I have trouble sleeping. You have to remember to turn the sleep app on and when you do it records that as sleep time even of your awake 2 hours later so last night it showed 8 hours sleep even thou I has 2 hours motionless, 1 hour 50 light sleep and the remainder restless so not 8 hours sleep. The heart rate app was the other item I used which has problems. If you are at the least sweaty which is very likely with a rubber watch and plastic watch back it will not work and tell you to clean the sensor, if your using this during a run its very annoying. I would like to use the email function but as I use Gmail it won't sync with it. The battery life is OK compared with some but the screen brightness doesn't go low enough and really needs an automatic light sensor rather than having it low at night which is too bright and remembering to turn it up so when I'm driving I want to just hit samsung voice but if I forget I can't see the watch display. I do like that of can have a photo taken with me phone as the screen and 3 icon short cuts with a double click to instantly open an app of your choice. Would I recommend it, yes if you have the Samsung health app, if not there are better and cheaper smart watches out there.Read full review

I didn't know what to expect when I bought this including thinking that it would be too large and obtrusive for daily use. In fact I quickly got used to wearing it, used to charging it every other day with 40% battery left and I really like the fact that I can't accidentally forget my phone as it 'chimes' when I get out of range. There is no doubt that there is a certain 'novelty' value attached to devices like this but I feel that it will continue to 'grow' on me just like my smart phone did.
