- Not very light, but comfortable. Stand as usual broken or soon will broke, messing around with CAPS LOCK, TAB LOCK, not that easy to get all the keys, from Q1 it is Really hard, no light, so at night you don't see anything. Mouse work nice but slowly or quick but you cannot press what you exact want to press. It is not very powerful. Wifi wasn't perfect, signal from my nokia e71 is stronger then here. Sim card slot wasn't working in the UK. + Really long battery life. Easy to take with you. Can easy operate vista or xp with out problem. I try to find powerful comfortable and quick PC/tablet PC but was disappointed with this machine and sell it after few days using.
I needed a small light tablet capable of running office for a project I am working on and the Q1 does it and then some. Inbuilt WiFi and bluetooth, 40Gb HDD, 2 USB ports and a touch screen running Windows XP. Brilliant
I owned this before Windows 7 become a name, and I was satisfied running XP on it but with Windows 7 it is awsome. Great product!
I had looked at the First Generation Samsung when it originally came out, but had decided that the technology was too risky at that point, and I am really glad I waited. This version has everything I could want in terms of connectivity with 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi and an Ethernet socket. It has a host of input methods, with a physical keyboard, and several on screen options. It also has a USB connector for a full size keyboard, or a portable one if that suits better. It runs XP tablet edition, and someone at Samsung told me they are not going to release the Vista version in the UK due to performance issues. It means any software you can run under XP work on this machine. The screen runs at 1024x600 and is amazingly clear and bright. It has good battery life, and is light and easy to carry. I'm really pleased with my purchase as this device suits my need perfectly.Read full review
I had been looking at different ultra mobile PCs for quite sometime now but never quite found one that offered what I needed to cater for my daily needs until now.. that is.. I purchased a 600mhz 1gb 40gb hdd version and never looked back. The screen is big enough to read and be useful while not making the device feel big and bulky. Mine came with the organiser pack and keyboard, which is what I am using to writing this review. The keyboard is only slightly smaller than a laptop keyboard and has an integrated mouse thing with two buttons. The organiser pack holds the device and keyboard in place and integrates a kick stand and addition stylus. Looks the part in black and doesn't shout out nick me when out and about. The device is adequate for my portable needs while away from home, running MSN, Skype and my USB TV along with my office related stuff like Visual Studio 2005 and Open Office. While the entry level device I have is good, there are times when I have alot open when I think I should have opted for the 800mhz processor model though this meets my needs. My device is running Windows XP 2005 Tablet Edition. Being an entry level device, it doesn't have the integrated camera, finger print reader that other models in the range have but you get what you pay for and for someone on a tight budget, this is the best I have seen and used under 400 pounds sterling. While the device is portable, the power supply lets it down and resembles something more in keeping with a laptop. Samsung should have spent a little more time in this area and come up with a size more like you get with a mobile phone. In all I would give this a 9 out of 10, let down by the power supply size but that could just be me being a little too picky... Hope this review helps describe some of the areas lacking in other reviews. SimonRead full review
