Well, Where to begin.

Sanatana PS10 heap of junk

I bought this car 3 months ago and I hate everything about it.

Its like driving a tractor and it bounces all over the road (leaf springs front and rear)

No central locking, in fact no refinement of any kind.

It would be ok as a farm vehicle, but not as a people carrier for dropping kids off at school.

Its a nightmare to park and very loud with lots of bounces everytime I hit a pot hole.

The Tw*t I bought it off mis sold it (well theres a suprise on ebay) cost me nearly 6k with the work.

I've had to put new rad in, all front seals from the diff to the hubs, new front wheel bearings etc.

New gear linkage and transfer box linkage (It now changes gear and goes into 4wd hi and lo)

Bad Points

The biggest fault is the Santana Badge.

Couple of daft scabs which were rust proofed (and it ran)

Couple of exterior bits of plastic broken

Flashing orange Light cover now missing as it didnt fit under Mc Donalds height bar.

Whine from somewhere (Another eBay member helpfully suggested that the whine may disappear if I changed my driving style and learned to drive with my mouth shut.  Unfortunately, after dropping the children off for school, this new driving style has proved itself too difficult for me to master, so its still up for sale)   *** UPDATE *** apparently the transfer box wants new bearings in it to cure the whine, and it has a leak on the back seal of it. Its a lt230 if that means anything to anyone

Drivers side window doesnt go up straight sometimes

Gear stick wants replacing as its ovaled on fitting and I just put a washer each side of it

Car has been bumped before at some point in its life (Only know as it said so 2 mots ago and the front indicator looks further back)

Front passenger wheel has a different tread pattern and so does the spare.

Couple of splits to the seats

wiper motor sometimes sticks if I leave it alone for a week or so

only got new keeper suppliment of v5

couple of stone chips on windscreen (looking at last 3 mots, it got an advisory for them)

Oh and the children get laughed at when I drop them off at school

Good Points

Does it have any ? I f**king hate this car.

In all fairness, I haven't seen another to compare it to so I'm not sure if its a good one or a bad one and I dont like landrovers either (still not sure why I bought it- apart from it having 9 seats)

Think of a series 3 landrover and all their faults and this is like an updated one of them. (except 2.8 iveco and zf gearbox)

Selling with faults as described and any which I havn't yet noticed. Spares or repair, sold as seen or what ever else you want to call it.  Take it away, give me cash and dont winge when you hate it too.

I'm sure they have a use for this car, but with the exception of draging my people carrier out of mud and all the seats fold flat, so good for tips runs, I cant think of any practical application for it.

And for the rest of the muppets on ebay, learn to put an accurate description on things.

Before you ask, I wont deliver it and I cant post it either.

Oh and I've got no intentions of cleaning it for you either ("You cant polish a turd" is the expression which springs to mind)

Anyone is welcome to come see it and curse it, just as I do every day

*** UPDATE *** People keep emailing me to ask how bad the car is.  The problem is, it was meant to be immaculate when I bought it and it has problems, so I'd already made up my mind I hated it.  Its probably no worse than any other ps10, just I'm a lot more honest on the description.  I would budget for putting decent tyres on it and new seals, bearings in transfer box then its probably not that bad.  I keep thinking I should keep it, but its the 2 insurances as well and it bouncing around.  When I remember about my 90, it used to bounce past 60 and this is the same.  Its actually a load better when it has some weight in the back and it tends to lose a lot of the noise from car (so there u go, 10 sacks of cement in the back and it will be fine) .  Just remember that its difficult to get parts for this (most Landrover series 3 bits seem to fit, and Iveco for the engine parts). I do have parts catalog etc for the car and most bits are actually landrover parts.

Food for thought :- Everyone says these are sh*t compaired to Landrovers, but when I think about it, the only bits which realy fail are the landrover parts eg, transfer box, diffs, etc. (Unless by some miracle the same diffs and transfer boxes perform better and become more reliable in a Landrover)

Another ebay member just sent me a comment about the car (like his 110) is classed as an off road vehicle as thats where it will spend most of its life (off road awaiting repairs).  It kind of ammused me and got me thinking back to the TVR salesman who when I was trying to buy one asked me if I had a reliable car to go to work in and then informed me that they would see the car at the garage for more time than I would have it.
