This Christian equivalent to GnR knows how to rock and provides the listener with memorable lyrics. Although not nearly as good as Snakes in the Playground before it, there are some good songs here. Place asks the pertinent question as to what if Christ's claims were true? What if he really is the only way to heaven? This cd frees the listener to question God, his dealings and his ways with people. It is emotive and soul-searching, but not too preachy. Doubt and Thorns are also good songs. With a string accompaniment, the suffering of Christ is explored within present contexts in Doubt. DadMom is the fastest song that provides an example of where their creativity sometimes falls short, as does the guitarist's rap in Questions. While Bride often has a lyric in each song that seems nonsensical, we still find that here. Regardless, they are obviously trying to make the gospel more accessible and do present it in a positive light.Read full review
I like the style of music by this group, and I was missing the cd. They have an awesome message to send out for those who are hungry for Jesus Christ.
One of my favorite bride cds. Lots of great songs.
