This is a superb album! I have most of these recordings on the original 45s bought new at the time but this album now brings together all David Sutch's early material in the pure sound quality of a CD, and clearly illustrates the hard work that Joe Meek always put into producing his artists' work. A combination of the egos of Sutch and Meek must have been dificult to manage, but the end result of these recordings shows all their professionalism. I can recommend this album to anyone wishing to hear again the wonders of the early days of Sutch. If you saw him live on stage you will know why I say play it loud and to hell with the neighbours!! I give it 5 stars. It is an album I will play time and time again. It is worth buying some of his later material such as the Heavy Friends recordings for comparison. They are equally good in their own right but do not have the youthful energy of these early tracks.Read full review
THIS IS A GREAT INTRODUCTION TO HIS LORDSHIPS WORK. ALL THE TALENT INCLUDED ON THESE 18 TRACKS AND WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE TO SHELL OUT FOR THE ORIGINAL SIDES. MAKES IT LIKE LIKE A SCREAMING LORD SUTCH LIVE GIG WELL WORTH THE PRICE OF ADDMISSION. THIS HAVING BEEN SAID I THINK IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER AS A SIMPLE A's AND B's SET OF HIS SINGLES IN CRONOLOGICAL ORDER. R.I.P. S.L.S
