A great tool asset to have in the toolbox, I tend to use it all the time now, with its 512 Nm usable torque spec unless you abuse it, it wont break. The 15 degree rotating angle before engaging the next tooth is fine enough. This adapter means you can put a breaker bar into a position better angled to get your body weight over it so less effort. Which matters 100% more to me now at 65 than it did when I was younger lol. Or get it into a more restricted space with limited room. Cons, nothing really other than I find changing the ratchet rotation direction a bit fiddle to use, but... its not an everyday 1/2 inch ratchet, so no big deal and if that is the only downside for having 512Nm working range.

Bought this to go with my Sealey 600mm breaker bar. Combining the two creates a long, high leverage ratchet drive. This thing is rated up to 512N-m [378 lb-ft.] of torque so even putting my 12st on the end of the 600mm (2ft) bar is well within limits. Most socket-set ratchet drives are much shorter with far lower safe torque limits. While the extra leverage of a long breaker bar is a great help with stubborn nuts/bolts the length can be a problem in a confined space (like under a car on wheel ramps or axle stands) so the 24-Tooth ratchet (needing only 15° rotation to engage the next tooth) of this adapter means the breaker bar can be used where space to 'swing' is tight. It has three way action: forward, reverse and locked as required. Only possible downside is the extra length added to the bar to socket dimension meaning it may not be usable where space in front of the nut/bolt head is limited. Overall this makes a great addition to the tool kit (wish I'd bought one years ago!) and I now carry the 600mm breaker bar, ratchet adapter and appropriate socket in my car at all times to make wheel changing a doddle (rather than bouncing up and down on the hopeless stubby little wheel-nut drives that come with most cars).Read full review

no cons, this is a brilliant tool when undoing very tight nuts bolts to be able use the breaker bar as a ratchet really does the business.

this really fantastic tool by sealey is designed for tbars braker bars in awkward tight places where you cant use a ratchet bar as the fixing you are trying to undo is really tight and you need a braker bar this device has a built in ratchet to enable you to be able to have the limited movement by turning the dial you can use it clockwise and anticlockwise and also you can lock it so the ratchet does not turn thanks sealey for this superb tool

After suffering a stroke and being unable to fully use my left arm, changing a wheel is a chore I can do without. I've always been handy and have a large breaker bar for tough jobs. Now with this adaptor in the car on the breaker bar I can undo and do up tight wheelnuts on car and caravan if needed. Still not the doddle it used to be for me, but so much more achievable. Next I'm getting a 19mm bolt welded into the scissor Jack so I can use the bar and adaptor on that too. All goes towards making life easier and less stressful. So for a fully able bodied person this adaptor would be so much more than just an emergency piece of equipment.
