Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best-selling in Light Meters
Light meters are often overlooked with the features on many cameras today but any professional will tell you that the first tool they use is a light meter. The reason is quite simple, it gives an accurate reading of the light before to hits the subject. Camera only read the light coming from the subject and can be fooled. Also if you have to try to set the scene up again, because you had those reading before it should be easier to do.

I no longer have 20/20 perfect vision, so the large, bright smart phone style screen of the L-478 is a great upgrade from my old Sekonic L-358 meter. The L-358 is very popular with Pros (and for good reason - & the newL478 does not do much more in terms of function) but recently I've found myself peering hard at the tiny ISO numbers on the 358's old fashioned small LCD screen and reaching for stronger reading spectacles. I decided that, since you can now get used L-478 meters at reasonable prices, it was time to upgrade. I've only had the new (used) L-478 for a few days but it's everything I hoped for: the display is much easier read, and it has better ease of use than the old L-358 (and it delivers accurate exposures) - so IT'S A KEEPER. ✅
