Sennheiser have always produced quality headphones...and the CX500 is no exception. I have purchased several pairs over the years for family members...and they too are very impressed with the performance. The CX500 delivery crystal clear Treble, together with delivering exceptional Bass...The three sets of different sized ear buds ensure that you always find a perfect fit. They are lightweight and very comfortable. They are very well-made and have a quality feel. These headphones "punch well above their weight" and easily out-perform most brands costing twice their price. Well worth purchasing a pair. (But beware...as there are a few "fakes" out there)

The headpones are well made, light and comfortable. I use it with my mp3 player and portable DAB radio. The sound reproduction is excellent, much better than the ones it has replaced They are in-ear design and block out external noise very well. This is fantastic when you are sitting still but when you are walking you can hear your own internal noises.
I bought this pair of headphone as a replacement to my old shure. I mainly use them on public tranport. Although the noise reduction feature is not as good compare to Shure but still serve the purpose well. I was a bit dubious about the build in vol control before I bought it, after started using it for a while, I found it is very handy, saved me a lot of hassle to reach my MP3 player.
I was searching for some passive noise cancelling headphones, as I wasn't eager to carry along some massive active noise cancelling feature or have big cans on my ears. The overall sound quality of these is astounding, with excellent highs and lows, and when music is playing the noise cancelling feature is great! Sometimes I work in server rooms with lots of machines doing lots of noise and these headphones come quite handy. Note that the music does not need to be very loud for the noise cancelling "activity" to kick in. The only problem with these headphones, and I guess that it comes with any in-ear pieces, is that if you touch the cable the noise you hear is a bit loud. It looks like a phonendoscope (but not that loud) :) There are also different adaptors so it fits all ear sizes (I guess), and they're quite comfortable. I would buy this product again, and I already have recommended it to a friend of mine who also happened to have bought them. He is also happy with the headphones.Read full review
My daughter saw the CX 400's my son got for Christmas and tried his and was hooked. Great design, easy to use and excellently priced, a no-brainer if you need to get headphones. The headphone pouch supplied helps to stop the headphones getting pulled around in her school bag and broken and also has spare buds and a volume control. I would highly recommend them if you need new headphones. Excellent price, service and goods!
