If you like your volume at "live level," and live with someone who doesn't, then get these. "Live level" as in any action movie where there's gun fights in one scene and whispering in another - set your volume so you're just hearing the whispering and then let the gun fights begin - and you won't rattle the windows but it doesn't matter because this setup is the real deal. You're right there in the middle of the action and the person sitting next to you can't hear a thing. Awesome. No sound leakage. Super comfortable. Good bass response. The "surround" is more of a slight reverb that adds a little depth. Very minor compression, which was a mild surprise given the advertised dynamic range as being beyond the range of normal hearing at low and high frequencies. Still, overall this a great product. Easy setup. The headset controls take a day or so to get used to. Range is excellent, so walking around the house while listening to music is ordinary - and the volume doesn't change when you go downstairs. That takes some getting used to. You can't hear the phone ring, or the doorbell, Or the dog barking. Or someone breaking into the house - there really isn't any sound leakage. TV volume settings work normally, so that anyone who wants to watch and have "TV sound" can do it without affecting the independently controlled headset volume. Great for "hearing impaired" folks (and their families). Super comfortable, and it looks like they'd be that way for pretty much any size "human" head - plenty of adjustment. Battery life so far seems to be "If you run the batteries down, you need to quit watching TV and go outside." I haven't had to go outside yet. These are well thought out, and well executed.
