I bought this book after watching Labyrinth on TV recently, which I really enjoyed, and had quite high expectations of Sepulchre, which is the second book in the series, although I hadn't previously read any of Kate Mosse's books. It's a good sized chunky book as well, and I was really looking forward to getting stuck into it. However, I dislike intensely the way the writer idealises the protagonists in the book. She puts too much emphasis on their physical perfection, in my opinion, rather than concentrating on the actual story. For instance, one line, instead of saying "she lifted her arms above her head", reads "she lifted her long, slim arms above her head". This may sound petty, but it really annoyed me, and after less than a hundred pages, I have given it up in disgust. The story may be as good as Labyrinth, but I'll never know. Unless the book is made into a film.Read full review
