I haven't used this type of dowel aid before so didn't know how well it would work. First dowel... perfectly aligned. Next 8 all perfect. If you drill where these mark, then you can't fail. I made a block of wood with a guide hole through it to make sure my holes were perfectly perpendicular, and it helped make sure the drill didn't stray from the mark when drilling. Always use a sharp drill bit. Great, cheap product.
