Handy little tool, took some getting used too, I watched some YouTube demonstrations first - quite useful - only thing I could not find was "What exactly is a guide plate" some demonstrations used them? I used the tool in my angle grinder, I think a 10mm would have been better but I had 2 walls one with an 8mm mortar strip and one with 100mm so I went for the 8mm, it did tend to wander a bit but I managed OK. Start by drilling a hole (in my case 8mm) to start from, I found the rake worked better and was easier to "steer" if I cut at an angle rather than straight, the mortar does not fly everywhere like with a disk but it probably takes longer. I would advise wearing safety goggles and a dust filter to remove mortar with any power tool. Really pleased would recommend. - still has a lot of life in it too.Read full review
