I love this phone so much! Lately all the best phones seem to be masive and all the small ones too basic or plasticky feeling, but this one is lovely and slim and will still just about fit in my pocket. And is just as good as any of the big phones out there. And it feels good quality when you hold it. This being the main reason why i chose this phone (size/quality) It did however take me a while to get used to typing on the touch screen as it is fairly small but now i find it abselutely fine. I dont think this phone would be any good for men though because their fingers would probably be too big! I was realy pleased with the quality of the camera, even if you take pictures of close up text it's still really clear. The battery needs charging daily which is bit of a pain, although it will last longer than that, it's best to be on the safe side because it can drain quite rapidly depending on how you use it. saying that there is a power saving option on there if you did want to make it last longer. It comes with a widget called timescape on your main screen, that basicaly did my head in & it took me ages to work out how to get rid of it! if you find the same then all you have to do is press and hold it then drag it to the bin! easy peasy! On the whole this is a realy nice little phone, easy to use, has a good quality feel to it and seems to be just as good as the larger equivilent phones.Read full review
There are two reasons why I bought this phone. One is because it is Android based and the second is for its ergonomic/attractive design. After using the phone for about 2 months I am very delighted by my decision. Light weight, elegant (SonyEriccson) finish and very nice display. The only thing which may disappoint is the screen size (which is a bit narrow), but if you are not used to big screens and taking an informed decision then this should not bother you. BTW, its upgrdable to Android 4 also. Overall, excellent value for money, comes with most of the features of a smartphone and its difficult to find any other phone with such features at this price.
Great phone, small but works well. Screen is small but clear. I couldn't recommend to anyone with poor eyesight. Screen size and overallphone size is always a trade off but if you want a smartphone that sits easily in your pocket this is the one. Camera isvery good so is music player.
I find the Xperia Ray an excellent phone, with a suerb camera which gives a picture to in many ways compete with a 16mp camcorder (Hitachi with full HD) It is easy to use and for me only has one drawback, battery life. If it is used as a phone/camera it can run 7 days before charging, however switch on wireless and networks and it wont go 2 days. Friends tell me what do you expect!!! Perhaps a miracle. its is slim and compact, and not nuclear powered.
