Great sound range. Very comfortable. Able to give other more expensive ones a run for their money. Amazing high quality very solid. They are now my daily driver earphones. They are not noise cancelling but that also means no charging or replacing of batteries. They are ready to go any time. I bought mine for £35.00 and they are as good as many others 10 x the price. You will not be disappointed if you buy these.

Ive been DJing with Sony MDR-V700 headphones for years (since 2001) and they have always been in my opinion the best DJ headphones on the market. My last pair of V700s finally gave out a couple of weeks ago so I went on Sony's main website to see what their top spec current equivalent DJ headphone set was, the answer? These V55s, so ordered them with no hesitation. When they arrived I was shocked and horrified. Cheap feeling, poor sound, plastic, light and weak build. The accountants have designed these. The cord doesn't even have a flex so no surprise the plug has now broken off the cord and i am trying to get them repaired. There was also no adaptor from 3.5mm to 6mm. These headphones do not replace the V700 not anywhere near or close. Sony ruled the marked with the V700, SO WHY DISCONTINUE IT!!??? Sony please bring back the V700s before you loose all your customers. I will have to buy the equivalent (V700) grade headphones from from Shure, Stanton or Pioneer now.Read full review

In terms of sound quality, you get what you pay for with these. They aren't as good as some slightly more expensive sets but pretty good for £40 and a definite improvement over earphones. The only negative thing about them is I've found wearing them for more than half an hour causes a fair bit of discomfort in the harder cartilage on the outer ear. It isn't so bad it puts me off using them but it can be a bit sore at times.
These are a great pair of cans. At the price the are available for I don't think you could do better anywhere. I bought my partner a pair of beats at £350 and these are just as enjoyable to listen to. Pure crisp sound even at high volumes right through the range. They do. Creak a little when handling them but not when being worn. Would recommend them to anyone.

Works well and the sound is good with good bass. The only point against the Headphones is the length of the cable, which is rather short at approximately 1 metre. I have purchased an extension lead.
