Easy to use, with no complicated software necessary, though I haven't figured out how to get playlists onto it yet. Good battery life. A nice simple basic mp3 player. I have ordered another for my husband after having bought a few other not very good choices previously.

I am ancient enough to go back to he days of the Walkman cassette player. Great fun when you lost your place or the tape got snarled up while jogging. I still marvel at modern technology in a way that young people would not understand, and I love my Walkman MP3. It's comparatively tiny, easy to use even for an old duffer technophobe, and best of all the sound level and clarity is great with the right earbuds. To be honest, the reason I buy refurbished older models like the NWZ-384 is because they predate the Euro-interference laws limiting volume levels. I don't know if it is still the case, but all the newer models I have tried are volume limited and too low level for me to hear when on a busy street or anywhere there's noise. I am not a music head and listen only to speech programmes, usually BBC Radio 4 podcasts or Old Time Radio classics like the adventures of Raymond Chandler's Phillip Marlowe. The only reason I have not given this model five stars is because it lacks a vice recorder feature. I write books and am having thoughts all the time about a new murder or twist in a tale, and it is bothersome to stop and reach for a notebook and pen from my haversack to get the thought down before the moment is lost. For sure, I would not and could not leave home without my Sony Walkman, whether my journey is to be on foot or in the car. Thanks Sony...Read full review

It replaces one which was stolen and It is up to date with plenty of room to store hours of entertainment whether it be classical music, special radio programmes or happy memories photos. Easy to operate once you are used to it, small enough to keep in a pocket A decent set of headphones from the same manufacturer give maximum performance rather ear buds. Great value giving high quality sound at a sensible price.

A great way of storing your music. The Sony software makes transferring music very easy. This is my third one. Each one is connected up in a car so you always have music on the move.
