I bought this game for my cousin as a Christmas gift because i already have the game and loved it. The game is actually made for teens and adults who are young at heart as is the entire Kingdom Hearts series - so don't be fooled by the Mickey Mouse on the front or the Disney lable on it - this game can get particularly dark. However dark issues are magically touched upon in a way that the game would still be suitable for a younger player. This game especially though, uses the more classic disney which was suited for those who grew up with these particular disney characters. Players are able to relive their childhoods and play through the magical world that it offers. Gamers can also get together and fight against each other or team up in multiplayer modes. There are levels of difficulty so it can be enjoyed by novice to hardcore gamers and even then if the players wants more challenge the game offers additional battles which are particularly tricky as an optional challenge after the game has been first played through. There is also a fun board game mini game which is able to be played as one player or with your friends by connecting via the psp. As the Kingdom Hearts series is my favourite - I have played all the games and this one is a beautiful master piece and a credit to the series.Read full review
I've been wanting this game for a while and now that I managed to buy myself a PSP this was the first game that came to mind that I should buy! Kingdom Hearts is the only game series that I would buy a new console for and I've been told the BBS is really good, I'm really glad I bought this item!
I’ve given the PSP more than my fair share of grief, but I’m starting to realize its biggest drawback is, strangely, its biggest strength in cases like this. Neither Sony nor the gaming press saw that the future of portable gaming would take shape more towards the direction of touch screens and micro challenges, so the PSP’s ability to play full-fledged PS2 games would turn out to be a bit of a double-edged sword in 2010…. HOWEVER! I found the PSP to be the perfect platform for a continuation of Kingdom Hearts, a game that set the bar sky high on PS2. While Birth by Sleep might be a prequel to the main series, fans will probably agree that it’s never looked better and it’s improved enough to be a truly worthy addition to the series.
