I live in Hawaii, so purchasing directly from Klipsch would have incurred a shipping charge equal to the price of this speaker. It works great on my original set of Klipsch ProMedia 2.1, indistinguishable from the previous speaker that had the surround disintegrate. Shipping was fair as it was free to Hawaii, and I am thoroughly enjoying the bass from this thing.

As a two channel system, they rock. But skip these if you're hoping to be enveloped by sound when listening to music. I'm running a MSI P67A-C43 MB with integrated Realtek ALC892 8-channel audio. The front's sound great. The bass kicks a**. Simply put, the music coming from these speakers is just powerful. The stands are sturdy and the control pod is removable without tools - I run two monitors so I disconnected the pod from my speakers and have it sitting on my desk centered underneath my monitors. But when I set up this system, I couldn't hear anything coming from the rear channels. I have the appropriate drivers installed and set the system up propertly with the Realtek console. But unless you're listening to a movie or something, there's hardly anything coming from the rear speakers. They emit sound with a test signal but most audio I listen to (ie Pandora) is only two channel so nothing comes from the rear. I decided it was too much trouble to string the lines to the back of the room for essentially no sound so I've disconnected the rear speakers and think I'm going to look for another subwoofer and try to use them elsewhere in the house. Bottom line, If you watch movies, you'll probably want a 5.1 system for center channel audio anyway. If you listen to internet music, you can save some money and buy the Promedia 2.1 speakers. These things sound great and I have no complaints, but wish I would have bought the 2.1's and saved some money.Read full review
I recently bought one of these drivers to replace a blown subwoofer driver in my Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 system. As I took out the old driver I checked part numbers on the back of the old driver vs the new one, it was a match...these seem to be genuine Klipsch drivers. Once installed I tested it out and it sounds just as amazing as I remember. Ignore anyone else saying the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 system isnt any good, because its amazing. So small, yet SO much sound from top to bottom and everything inbetween. For a tiny three piece stereo system with a very small sub, you would have a lot of trouble finding anything that can crank out as much full range sound volume with a nice low end and clarity at this price range. I will just be a little bit more careful not to turn it up the sub as crazy loud as I did before so not to blow the sub driver, I pushed it way too hard and it was completely unnecessary. For a little six and a half inch driver it sounds more like an eight inch sub or maybe even a basic ten. Put the sub in a corner and it puts out great bass for such a small sub. If you want some bigger sound for a TV in a smaller bedroom or want some amazing sounding speakers for your computer, try the Pro Media 2.1 you wont be dissapointed. Dont waste your time and money with the fake non-Klipsch drivers here on ebay, buy these and get the real deal instead they are worth it. 10 out of 10, highly recommended. UPDATE Thursday October 20th 2016 The sub is still going strong, great buy!!Read full review
