Excellent value. Nicely weighted. Great pick up. Supplied cable bit naff, worth buying another stagg cable for a couple of quid more. Still a huge saving. Dont be put off by price this is great mic. Iv replaced our mics for all my DJs with this product and the are all loving it. Great crisp clean sound. Iv also used it in my caberet shows and it was a dream.

Awful product. Steer well clear. Why? 1) The packaging is terrible, the microphone is not secure in its box so it will arrive pre-shaken 2) It's heavy for something as cheaply made as this 3) The cable plug design (at mic end) is terrible and doesn't secure the cable from being pulled out and ripping out wire connection - easy fix but seriously? 4) the cable itself only feeds two wires, instead of the XLR standard 3, so no noise protection 5) the wires in the cable are made from maybe 3 or 4 smaller wires, so resistance and loss of power is guaranteed which means more gain needed = more noise 6) the plug doesn't really fit into the base of the microphone, it sort of dangles 7) the sound is bright enough, but it doesn't pick up sounds at a wide angle; fine if mounted pointing at speaker/sound source, not ideal for hand-held If you happen to have a decent XLR cable then this mic will do in a pinch. Paying any more than £5 for this rubbish is robberyRead full review

Cheap, yes, certainly but nasty? - well no, not really, depends what you want for a mic. for vocals not too shabby, I think it's more my lack of vocal talent that causes the inferior sound and, nice and light too so on a boom stand it's not weighing the thing down and drooping during a performance. As an instrument mic, i have used it for acoustic guitar and acoustic bass and the frequency response is surprisingly good for the price. OK it's never going to be a Shure or a Sennheiser but for a musician on a budget, well hey - it's worth the price just for the xlr cable!

Poor sound quality, dodgy on/off switch and 3-pin input was also fragile. This was on FIRST use. Given it away. It WAS only £8. Prob just got a faulty one..ok for bingo calling! Get whay you pay for.

This is not a pro level Shure but at around a twentieth of the cost it is good enough for home or karaoke use.
