Don't be fooled by the photograph, this is a top quality tool, in the picture it looks plastic, but apart from the soft jaw covers it is of an all heavy metal construction. The vice is robust, heavy and versatile in that it can hold items at multi angles to work on, it securely locks the ball in the socket at an angle. This vice will be as secure as the security of the item it is fixed to, the locking of the vice itself is first class and has not let me down when sawing and filing. A top class tool, highly recommended.

I am very happy with this vice, it's a well-designed product. The jaws open to about 75 mm (3 inches) and come with removable rubber covers. The steel jaws have vertical and horizontal grooves for holding rods and tubes, etc. It can swivel to just about any angle by virtue of its ball and socket clamp, which holds the desired position securely. It grips the work bench or table tightly, giving the vice a nice solid feel. It would not be suitable for heavy duty work, but is ideal for light engineering or hobby use.

What else can I say, every one should have one. Works well and has a good holding width. I love it.
