The tunnel extension is sturdy enough and fits well. Its just not quite long enough to to be perfect as for a standard double glazed unit only just fills the gap between the inner & outer housing without any overlap. 25mm extension would be best if available, to give some overlap and better rain coverage.

An excellent add-on for the Staywell cat flap. Fits perfectly and is solid. There is a very small gap between the end of the tunnel and outer fixing which I sealed with a thin rubber strip in order that the complete assembly can be stripped down for occasional cleaning. Very pleased and would recommend.

Whilst of good quality it was too short by about 3mm and left a gap which had to be filled with sealant. The company (Staywell) do not give clear data on dimensions required for given thicknesses of doors. Their standard (no tunnel) cat flap and a 18mm tunnel would fit a 25mm door panel. I have a 28mm door panel!
