I just read the other review and, well I don't agree. It's obviously a bit out of date but that is only with half the characters. As for duncan thicket & alan partridge they are brilliant. First thicket he is just a original and unique character, still very funny. Alan partridge well he is now a life coach and as brilliant as ever, he is so good that you just want more and more from him, but coogan being unwilling to do the dreaded 3rd series won't bring him back, but it ok there IS going to be a: Alan partridge; The movie soon so it's ok. This dvd is a good buy for anyone really, there is a few songs in it, which I dislike (apart from the end one), but as I say its is worth it just for thicket and partridge. The extras are a short film about coogan in the show, which is very good and lasts about half an hour.Read full review
I love Steve Coogan, Alan Partridge, his films etc. Saw reruns over Christmas of Alan Partridge and thought I must check out this new DVD. He over relies on outdated foul language and is just largely not funny. Stick the studio recordings Steve. I couldn't watch his, albeit imaginative characters, perform predictable and dull routines in full. Hopefully it has raised some money in my local charity shop which is where I promptly passed it onto.
Not Mr Coogan at his best, but worth a giggle. Certinally not worth all the bad reviews it was given but nothing compares to I'm Alan Partridge. Cashback.
I bought this dvd as i had seen the show live and wanted to see it again on dvd, Steve Coogan is very funny and i'm a big fan.
Steve Coogan is a true genius of comedy and this is as good as ever. The closing number is one of the funniest things I have ever heard but may offend some people due to its content.
