Good historical recording of a classic Scottish blues band. The only question I ask myself is why these classic recordings, of which I have bought a few, have to be ordered from outwith GB, but originated from the BBC in England.....

I first saw Stone the Crows at Essex University when they supported Canned Heat. Canned Heat were very good but 'The Crows' stole the show. It was so very unfortunate that Les Harvey died a few months later in a tragic stage electric accident. The band never really recovered although I saw them at the infamous Weeley festival with Steve Howe (Yes) stepping in on guitar. Maggie Bell sung her heart out as she does on this CD. Its a good CD covering a lot of their favourite material. Although why they included two versions of 'Rainin in Your Heart',I don't know. If you have never heard this band (who would surely have become giants in the rock world) then I reccomend this. Mike
