I had a plastic bracket that came with my binoculars and it was like trying to focus on jelly so i got this one and what a difference it has made !! Rock solid when using large binoculars and no fear of them falling off and the rubber grip underneath seams to work well, so highly recommended if you’re using large binoculars on a tripod

This is a solid, sturdy bit of kit, way better than the cheap plastic imports that have been tried [and failed] before. It stands approximately 105mm tall, the main shaft is 9mm thick at it's thinnest point, tapers to 10mm at the upper part and 12.5mm towards the base and is approximately 23mm wide from front to back. The foot plate which is in a triangle shape, is approximately 41mm from front to back and tapers from 21mm on the screw thread side to 33mm at the back. The knurled tightening knob has a nice solid feel to it and is approximately 21mm in diameter. On the underside of the base plate lies a thin rubber cover to aid stability [I suppose] when attached to your chosen tripod or monopod. The whole bracket weighs in at a mere 88grms and is finished in a quality fine crackle black paint akin to a good set of vintage binoculars. Very pleased with this simple but very effective piece gear and would not hesitate to recommend it over any of the plastic varieties.Read full review
